Hello
Okay, what to say here. Hmmmmm
Lets see. My trailer is a 1959 Shasta Aeroflyte. (Trailer is 14 feet, with frame 16 feet). My parents bought it new in 1959. So it is a one family trailer. We got it in 1996 from my parents. It had sat in their backyard for 20 years and needed some wiring fixed, new tires, gas line for stove and lamp was no longer usable. After taking care of that we were on the road. It had started life with an ice box then my father put in a 2 day (AC/DC) fridge. That failed on us in 2002 and I put in a three way. It needs some work but does not leak, tows well and we put about 3 to 5 thousand Kilometres on it a year.
I am putting new springs in it this year as one has sagged.
The interior still has original floor tiles, sink, stove etc. Only new items are mattress and we had the front bench seats recovered. Oh and the fridge of course. That was an adventure in itself but now it is work fine. Later on I will post what had to be done to make it work etc.
Next major project will be some reskinning and painting. It now spends the off season inside a garage due to getting tagged (spray painted) one time when parked in our back yard next to the alleyway.
Great to see a new group up and running.

Hello 59,
You realize you are going to make a lot of us envious, don't you. To have the trailer your parents had is quite remarkable, good for you. What a treasure. We can use you for first had knowledge of what the trailer use to be.
I'm like you, glad to see the new group up and running. Tell all you Shasta friends.
With Regards, Doug
