I'm going to have to reframe my shasta compact.. Is there any specific way to do it? I'm probably going to do the typical 8" or 16" interval framing, so I actually know where all the "studs" are when redoing the inside.

mine is still in progress-5+years-I started ceiling beam replacement.I took(1)rotten piece, cut a (what lowes calls a mobile home 2x4 with "more arch" forced it back where the rotten ones were(front and rear of the roof vent)added small metal 2" shelf brackets to hold them in place on the outer metal roof frame now water rolls off better. removed vent & resealed it (No leaks there) on the back wall I added 3 more Horizontal framing (wood)pieces & a centerline vertical below the window down to bottom piece along the floor. big difference in stability I had to replace the door & flooring at the door, door latch/lock.200.00 & other stuff. lots of the old rusty screws I replaced with Phillips #6,8 stainless screws, "Ace or True Value hardware" stopped some of the running rust. McFeeleys.com sell the square head screws. I just ran out or patients with Left rear corner seam leak & quit working on it, so Shasta just sits in the back yd, & has become storage for stuff. hopefully some day I will get back to it. sparky1,s.virginia.
